Curcurpe is located in the Curcurpe Mining District within the Northern Sonora State of Mexico. The Curcurpe Mining District hosts Carlin type gold deposits.
The Curcurpe Project covers 6,000 hectares with multiple targets and historic mining over 1.5 kilometers. There are high concentration of gold-silver bearing vein deposits in the central and eastern parts of the Curcurpe District. Within Curcurpe, a vein structure has been traced for 3 kilometers with grades between 1-8 g/t gold. Disseminated mineralization outside the main vein has shown grades of 1-2 g/t gold.
Curcurpe is surrounded by projects owned by Meridian and Penoles.
On Dec. 20, 2007, Tara Gold announced a binding commitment to purchase a 70% undivided interest in Tara Gold's Curcurpe Project by La Camera Mining Inc. Tara Gold will retain a 30% carried interest in all properties once Camera earns its 70%.
For Curcurpe, La Camera will spend $3.75 million over the next 3.5 years and make all underlying property payments. The exploration program will test identified targets through systematic groundwork and drilling.
